Your Rights At Work: Consultation at work: What Rights do Workers Have and What are the Obligations of Employers? 

Consultation is important during major workplace change. There are legal requirements around the duties and obligations of employers to consult with their employees. This session will look at what rights you have during workplace consultation and what it is.

Topics covered:

  • What consultation means & how it is defined.
  • Why consultation is important.
  • Who has a duty to consult and when does it need to happen.

 

About the Presenter:

Michael Robson is the Industrial Coordinator at the ASU National Office. He has extensive experience in industrial relations. This includes leading consultation processes at many employers, including Qantas and Mission Australia.
